Keeping business local in Mooroopna
Joey and April Campanelli purchased Mooroopna Hardware from Allen and Jenni Hunter in July 2023.
Having worked for Allen and Jenni, Joey and April have developed the skills and knowledge to ensure the continued success of Mooroopna Hardware.
Joey and April, have been together since 2008, married since 2011 and have 4 children.
They have a passion for local community growth and success, to ensure there are local opportunities for the future of their children and community.
We are open seven days a week and have tailored our opening hours to take family time for both staff and customers into consideration.

OUR HISTORY
Allen and Jenni Hunter established Mooroopna Hardware in 1983.
After 28 years in hardware, Allen sold the business in 2011 to Mitre 10 Corporate, who operated the store for 5 years prior to closing it down in June 2016, due to running the store from Melbourne and the associated administration costs.
After a community outcry at the closure of Mooroopna’s only hardware store, Allen reopened Mooroopna Hardware in September 2016, and hired Joey Campanelli, who was the Store Manager at Mooroopna Mitre 10, for its final 9 months.
Allen also hired back many staff who had worked for him prior to Mitre 10, who had also worked for Mitre 10.
In 2020, Joey’s wife, April started working in the office helping with accounts payable but by the end of 2020, April was managing all accounts receivable and payable.
Mooroopna Hardware is here with the same great staff, to continue to serve the community for many more years to come.
